Berovo

Berovo sits in the Maleš area of the Eastern Region, a forested, mountainous corner of North Macedonia built around the artificial Berovo Lake. Its cooler climate and pine forests have made it a center for mountain tourism and outdoor recreation, along with fruit growing — raspberries in particular thrive in the area. It's one of the country's go-to spots for escaping summer heat found elsewhere in North Macedonia.
