Kavadarci

Kavadarci is the heart of the Tikveš wine region, North Macedonia's largest and best-known wine-producing area, with vineyards spreading across the hills around the city. The artificial Tikveš Lake nearby adds a recreational counterpart to the surrounding wine country. Much of the city's identity and economy today still runs through viticulture and the wineries that have made Tikveš a recognized name well beyond the country's borders.
