About Struga
Struga sits where the Crn (Black) Drim River flows out of Lake Ohrid, on the lake's northern shore a short drive from Ohrid town itself. It's internationally known for the Struga Poetry Evenings, one of the oldest and most prestigious poetry festivals in the world, drawing writers from across the globe every August. With a mixed Macedonian and Albanian population and the same lakeside setting as its more famous neighbor, Struga offers a quieter side of the Ohrid region.
