Sveti Nikole

Sveti Nikole sits on the Ovče Pole plain — literally “Sheep Field” — in the Vardar Region, a name that reflects the area's long tradition of sheep farming alongside grain growing. It's one of the country's smaller municipal centers, serving the surrounding agricultural villages with a low-key, unhurried character. The flat, open plain around the town stands in contrast to the mountainous regions found elsewhere in the country.
